Royal Bay Care Homes Recent News and Events

Things have obviously been a little different as of late however in spite of the current circumstances there has still been lots of things happening across our Royal Bay Care Homes.

Herons Park Nursing Home

We were absolutely delighted to learn that Herons Park Nursing Home has been recognised as one of the top 20 care homes in the West Midlands. This achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and the consistently high level of care the staff provide to our residents each and every day.

This wasn’t the only piece of recognition the team at Heron’s Park Nursing Home received recently however. The daughter of a previous resident sent a lovely handwritten letter to show her appreciation of the exceptional level of care her father experienced during his time in our gold standard nursing home in Worcestershire. She went on to commend the staff for the incredible work they continue to do and wished everybody the best. It was a truly beautiful sentiment and the entire team were very touched by it.

Claremont Lodge Care Home

The staff and residents of Claremont Lodge Care home, our nursing home in West Sussex, had reason to celebrate recently. Iris and Magaret, two of our lovely residents, were unfortunately unwell with COVID-19. They both managed to make a full recovery and the team decided to celebrate their good health with a massive cake, which went down an absolute treat.

Castle Farm Retirement Home

At our care home in Lytchett Matravers the team have been overwhelmed with gifts and gestures from those looking to show their appreciation during the current difficult circumstances. From a surprise cream tea during a staff meeting and a huge hamper of treats from local coronavirus support group the Lytchett Matravers Angels to a donation of goodies from Lush handmade cosmetics the staff at Castle Farm Retirement Home have been made to feel very special recently.

Apsley House Care Home

The staff and residents at Apsley House Care Home, our elderly care home in Bognor Regis, have also been on the receiving end of some incredible generosity. Over the past month they’ve been gifted chocolate, cakes, cookies, cards & letters of appreciation and handmade hearts as a show of support. The thoughtfulness behind each gesture is lovely and everybody at Apsley House Care Home is thankful for the kindness shown.

Although the residents are unable to get out and about they’re still managing to keep themselves busy with plenty of activities. Amongst these was an afternoon of poetry which encouraged the residents to come together to write a poem of their own, inspired by their experiences during the ongoing circumstances. They also had the opportunity to express their artistic side by creating some colourful sand art, which was great fun for all involved.
