Accommodation and Vacancies
The Retirement Home has undergone substantial upgrading and refurbishment
and conforms to the new standards required by the Care Standards Commission.
Rooms are mainly single en-suite, but there are companion rooms options
too. There is a large separate dining room as well as a south facing conservatory
overlooking unspoilt countryside. The Home has a five-person shaft lift
and is equipped to look after high dependency clients. There is a disabled
persons' minibus, complete with ramp for wheelchair clients, for use for
outside events.
Castle Farm Lifestyles
The Home helps clients to lead their individual lifestyles whenever possible
by encouraging existing and new interests and providing varied activities
for those interested. Friends and family are welcomed and add to residents'
quality of life. There are no fixed visiting times but it is sensible and
considerate to residents to try and visit between 11am and 4.30pm.
